Class 1 (CE) Driver – Part-Time

Halifax Area | £17.50 per hour (PAYE) | Curtain Sider Experience Required

Drivers Plus is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (CE) Drivers for a part-time opportunity based in the Halifax area. This role is ideal for professional and reliable drivers seeking 1–2 days of work per week with advance notice of shifts.

Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour (PAYE only)
Start Time: 07:00
Shift Length: Approximately 10–12 hours
Location: Halifax

Key Responsibilities

• General haulage and pallet network deliveries.


• Deliveries and collections to local businesses and builders' merchants.


• Safe loading and securing of goods using straps and curtain-sided vehicles.


• Completion of delivery paperwork and electronic PODs via PDA/apps.


• Adhering to all road transport, health and safety, and company procedures.


• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category CE) Licence.


• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.


• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience.


• Must have actively driven Class 1 vehicles within the last 6 months.


• Previous experience operating Curtain Sider vehicles is essential.


• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.


• Ability to provide employment references covering the last 2 years.


• Strong communication skills, reliability, and excellent timekeeping.
