PART-TIME CLASS 1 AD HOC DRIVER
£15.62–£17.50 per hour | Curtain-Sider Experience Required | PAYE**
At Drivers Plus, we are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers with curtain-sider experience to work in the Halifax area. Start times are typically 07:00, with shifts lasting approximately 10–12 hours.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Pallet network and general haulage work.
* Safely securing and strapping loads, with curtain operation required.
* Multi-drop deliveries to businesses and builders' merchants.
* Using PDAs and delivery apps.
* Providing part-time holiday cover.
* Working 1–2 days per week.
* Customer-facing interactions.
* Completing approximately 8–10 deliveries and 1–2 collections per shift.
* All deliveries and collections are local- Halifax, Ellan and Sowerby bridge

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking experienced Class 1 drivers with curtain-sider experience. This is a part-time holiday cover role. Our client requires drivers who have a minimum of 2 years' driving experience and have actively used their licence within the last 6 months.
You should be a strong communicator, reliable, and take pride in your work, with a focus on professionalism, timekeeping, and health and safety.
Essential Requirements:
* A valid Category CE (Class 1) licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
* No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
* A reference from a previous employer covering the last 2 years.
