HGV Class 1 Container Driver – Day Work

£15.61–£17.50 per hour | PAYE | Container Work | LS10

Drivers Plus are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to work for our client based in the LS10 area.

Previous container experience is not required – full training can be provided for suitable Class 1 drivers.

This is a regular daytime role involving container trunking work to ports, iPorts and warehouses, with no handball required.

The Role

• £17.50 per hour


• Start times between 05:00 and 07:00


• Shifts are approximately 12 hours


• Container trunking work


• Approximately 1–3 drops per shift


• Deliveries to ports, iPorts and warehouses


• No handball required


• Weekend work available with enhanced rates


• Full container training provided

What We're Looking For

We are looking for professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers who have:

• A minimum of 2 years' Class 1 driving experience


• No previous container experience required


• A valid CE Licence


• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Driver Card


• No more than 6 points on your licence


• A satisfactory employment reference covering the previous 2 years


• Good communication skills


• A strong commitment to timekeeping, health & safety and professional standards


• Flexibility to work weekends when required
