HGV Class 1 Night Driver – Curtain Sider / Double Decker

£16.95–£19.00 per hour | PAYE | Night Work | WF17

Drivers Plus are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Night Drivers with experience operating Curtain Sider and Double Decker vehicles to work for our client based in the WF17 area.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional and reliable drivers looking for regular night trunking work, with ongoing, part-time and potential temp-to-perm opportunities available.

The Role

• £19.00 per hour


• Start times between 16:00 and 19:00


• Shift lengths can vary


• Class 1 night trunking


• Trunking to warehouses and DHL sites


• Approximately 1–3 deliveries or collections per shift


• No handball required


• Weekend availability required for enhanced rates


• Drivers are responsible for securing loads and operating curtains when working on Curtain Sider vehicles

What We're Looking For

We are looking for professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Night Drivers who have:

• A minimum of 2 years' Class 1 driving experience


• Recent experience operating Curtain Sider vehicles


• Experience with Double Decker vehicles


• A valid CE Licence


• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Driver Card


• No more than 6 points on your licence


• A satisfactory employment reference covering the previous 2 years


• Experience with load security


• Good communication skills


• A strong commitment to timekeeping, health & safety and professional standards


• Flexibility to work weekends when required
