HGV Class 2 Night Driver – Fridge

£16.92 per hour | PAYE | Night Work | Birstall

Drivers Plus are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Night Drivers with experience operating fridge vehicles to work for our client based in the Birstall area.

This is a 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, offering regular work with a structured shift pattern.

The Role

• £16.92 per hour


• Start times between 14:00 and 17:00


• Shifts are approximately 12 hours


• 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate


• Class 2 multi-drop work


• Fridge vehicle deliveries to various Starbucks sites across the North of England


• Approximately 10–12 drops per shift


• Heavy handball required


• Drivers are responsible for offloading cages themselves


• Physically demanding role requiring a good level of fitness


• Shift pattern:


• 4 weeks of 5 on / 3 off


• Followed by 3 weeks of 4 on / 4 off


• Working week runs from Sunday to Saturday

What We're Looking For

We are looking for professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Night Drivers who have:

• A minimum of 2 years' Class 2 driving experience


• Recent experience operating fridge vehicles


• A valid Category C Licence


• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Driver Card


• No more than 6 points on your licence


• A satisfactory employment reference covering the previous 2 years


• Experience with multi-drop deliveries


• Comfortable undertaking heavy manual handling and cage unloading


• Good communication skills


• A strong commitment to timekeeping, health & safety and professional standards


• The ability to work the advertised 5 on/3 off and 4 on/4 off shift patterns
